Somewhat of an impromptu event, a bunch of folks showed up for the State Street Cruise night on Saturday, September 22. We met at the State Capitol building and hung out for about 45 minutes waiting for everyone to show up. And show up they did. We left the Capitol at 6:45 with 11 cars and headed down State Street all the way down to 90th South. Why, that's so far south for some, they expected folks to be talking with accents! But no one was saying y'all, so we didn't get THAT far south. The group headed over to Joe Chou's Dairy Queen drive in. There we had some great food and Joe kicked in dessert in the form of a custom decorated ice cream cake featuring British cars on the top.

Then we moved on to our small raffle for the evening. Prizes were; 2 framed BFD 2001 posters donated by Julie & Bill Robinson, a cast metal model of a Spitfire donated by Joe Chou and the grand prize was for an ice cream cake, also donated by Joe and won by Bill & Julie Van Moorhem. We raised $28 for the club - not a huge amount, but appreciated all the same. The group had some good Saturday night fun and everyone went their separate ways by about 9 PM.

	The group assembled at the Capitol's north parking lot. A trusted and reliable meeting place for a number of BMCU events.
	Some last minute tweaking, bragging and repair discussions before getting underway.
	This little Morris Woody was a newcomer to the club on its first night out with the gang.
	After the State Street drive, we all parked at the Dairy Queen in Sandy. Staff and other customers were delighted to see such a fine display of British steel and American oil spots..
	By the time we arrived at the Dairy Queen, it was nearly dark. We were all ready to eat and the crowd quickly adjourned to the tables set aside for the BMCU.

	Inside, everyone ordered their favorites and dined in BMCU style.
	A fine bunch of British cars was on hand.
	BMCU club members and other folks had another look at all the cars before going inside.
	Once the burgers and fried had been consumed, Joe brought out the British Car ice cream cake. The cake promised to be delicious and lived up to expectations in every way!
	Joe personally decorated the cake with MG's and a Triumph.
	The cake was so frozen there was a battle to get it cut. For awhile it looked like the cake was going to win. Jon attacked it with a big knife. the cake won and the knife broke!
	Then Joe appeared with some Klingon looking weapon and cut the thing to pieces! It was great cake and everyone had a piece.
	This young Star Fleet officer, on shore leave from the USS Enterprise, no doubt, was gratified to eat real, non-replicated, Earth-food.
	Everyone had a great time and wants to do this again next year.
