| June 8, 2001 - As the sun sets in the western sky, our group of volunteers had just put the finishing touches on the setup for the the big event to take place in about 12 hours. The fences were up, the tables were ready, the tent was together (wrong poles in the wrong places again?). A big group of volunteers enabled us to get our work done by beer-thirty. |

9, 2001 - Our crew is back at the crack of dawn to get ready
for the flood of cars and visitors to the 10th annual British
Field Day. As the sun peaks over the Wasatch mountains, the first
cars begin to arrive. Around 140 cars and bikes will drive up
and join in the fun. At 9 AM, the sound system blares the Beatles'
"Baby You Can Drive My Car" and the 2001 BFD is off
and running.
The lawn filled up fast and the day warmed up nicely. Car after bike after car signed in and made this the biggest British Field Day ever. Jon et al set up the race course and it was busy most of the time with car after car trying to come close to Mark's time in the monster Spitfire! Here is a collection of photos from the day. |
