BMCU Amazzes Taylorsville Dayzz
BMCUers made a fine showing at the Taylorsville Dayzz parade on June 28th. The event was a typical small town parade with politicos, high school bands and drill teams, fire engines, floats, and enterprising local business folks, including insurance agents, chiropractors, funeral directors etc. parading their specialties. We particularly liked the medical clinic with docs in white shirts and ties, wearing Miss Congeniality like sashes labeled with their specialties, e.g., Radiology, Oncology, Proctology (just joking on that one). After the parade run, which was both hot (meteorologically) and warm (sociologically), the caravan parked in the Taylorsville City Park for informal public inspection (of the cars). A pleasant surprise along the way was the appearance of a Bentley saloon said to be recently imported from the Philippines, where it was in diplomatic service. It is in beautiful condition, and all original, except for the mega-watt sound system now consuming the entire, sizeable, boot. The Dayzz organizers profusely thanked BMCU for participating, and promised more attention to the car show aspect next year, with perhaps even prizes. We're hoping for sashes. Participating were Steve Nelson, Jon Hermance, Gary Lindstrom, Bill Walton, Kendall and Connie Dewsnup, John and Debi Brozovich, Bill Griffith, John and Marie Weibel, Mark and Joyce Noeltner, Dave and Carol Marks, Steve and Cheryl Bender, and the event leaders, Floyd and Kathy Inman.

The first group of 7 pictures was taken by Gary Lindstrom. The second group of 9 pictures was taken by the Webmaster. (Yes, I had a fixation on MG-TF's that day. I'm lusting over one of these.)
