Gateway parade
It was looking like rain when we met at the south end of Rio Grande, the private street that runs through The Gateway. But during the half hour period before the parade began it cleared off a bit and gave us all a chance to talk and check out the other cars.

At about 12:05pm the drums rolled, as did KSL-5's camera, and we started off down the 2-1/2 block street. A surprising number of people were on hand to watch us as we slowly cruised down Rio Grande waving at the kids.

I don't believe anyone passed around a sign-up sheet at this event, but Bruce had listed these people in his last e-mail:

Bill Robinson - Red 79 Triumph Spitfire
Bruce Schilling - White 54 Triumph TR-2
Dennis Hoagland - Red 72 MG MGB
Ron Gunderson - Red 90 Lotus Esprit
Mike Donoso - Pink 60 Morris Minor Pick Up
Kathy Inman - Red 52 MG "Y" Type
Mark Noeltner - Stainless Steel 81 DeLorean DMC-12
Bill VanMoorhem - Red 52 MG TD
Julie VanMoorhem - Red 56 MG A-Coupe
Ron Christensen - Green/Yellow 62 Austin Healey Sprite
Bob Vargas - Cream 52 MG TD
Sandy & Gary Lindstrom - Black 1952 MGTD
Mitch and Greg Johnson - 1965 Triumph Spitfire

Bill Robinson and I both forgot our digital cameras. KSL 5 did tape portions of the parade for their news broadcast and I'm attempting to get permission to grab some stills from their video to post here. (Update: KSL never responded to my request. I believe I'm legal if I post stills only and credit the source, so expect to see some in the near future.)

PS--The club received a $100 donation from The Gateway for our participation. A big Thank You to all who braved the rain that day to help the club!

Ron Christensen was kind enough to send some photos. Thanks!
